The Dinarische gentian ( Gentiana Dinarica ) is a plant from the genus of gentians ( Gentiana ) in the family of Gentianaceae (Gentianaceae).

Vegetative characteristics

Gentiana dinarica is a perennial herbaceous plant . The opposite leaves are crowded at the base of the stem . The simple leaf blade is broadly elliptical. The leaf margins are cartilaginous.

Generative characteristics

The flowers are individually terminal on the stems. The hermaphrodite flowers are radially symmetrical with a double flower envelope . The five green sepals are fused to about half their length. The five calyx teeth are narrowly lanceolate and narrowed towards the base. The dark blue crown is 40 to 70 millimeters in length and is inverted-conical. There are no green dots in the crown throat, the crown lobes are pointed.

Occurrence

Gentiana dinarica is found in the mountains in the southwest of the former Yugoslavia , in Albania and in central Italy . She loves lime.
