The Gentle Valley is a valley in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range , it is a distinctive and deep mountain basin at the head of the Gentle Glacier . There is a small lake in the valley floor. A tongue of smooth blue ice of the flight deck firn field flows into this valley from the south between Barrett Bluff and Mount Razorback .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the name of the glacier of the same name.
