Geoffrey Groselle (born February 12, 1993 in Plano ) is an American basketball player who has been  under contract with Stelmet Zielona Góra since 2020 .

career

Groselle played basketball at Plano West High School, Texas, and enrolled at Creighton Catholic University in Omaha , Nebraska , in 2011 . He took a major in financial analysis , was part of the college's basketball team in the 2011/12 season, but has not yet been used. In the playing years 2012/13 and 2013/14 he remained a supplementary player with limited playing time (2.8 and 3.4 minutes per match). In the 2014/15 round he was on the floor for an average of 12.3 minutes per game and posted averages of 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds. Only in his last year at university level (2015/16) did he make the leap to high performer: Groselle ranked in his final season in the category “points per game” with a value of 11.2 within the team and was third in terms of “rebounds” per game ”with an average of 6.1 collected ricochets.

Groselle decided that he would take his first steps as a professional basketball player in the German basketball league and signed a two-year contract with the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig in summer 2016 . In the course of the 2016/17 game year he was in 29 of 32 games in the starting line-up of Lower Saxony, who fought to stay relegated this season and also achieved this goal. The inside player used the average playing time of just under 23 minutes per encounter to achieve an average of 10.9 points and 6.1 rebounds as well as to statistically block 1.2 opposing throws.

The second year of his contract in Braunschweig was missed, instead Groselle switched to Bundesliga rivals Eisbären Bremerhaven for the 2017/18 round . During the 2017/18 season, he averaged eleven points and 5.5 rebounds in 34 Bundesliga appearances. The latter was the highest score of any polar bear player.

He left the Bundesliga after two years and moved to BK Astana in Kazakhstan . In the summer of 2019, Groselle was signed by the French first division club Orléans Loiret Basket . He averaged 7.4 points and 5 rebounds for Orléans in the French league, in summer 2020 he accepted an offer from the Polish club Stelmet Zielona Góra .
