Georg Simon Ohm Prize
The Georg-Simon-Ohm-Preis is an award given annually since 2002 by the German Physical Society (DPG) for “an excellent, recently completed and basically publicly accessible work of a student of physical engineering or related courses at universities of applied sciences “Is awarded. This award is dedicated to the German physicist Georg Simon Ohm . It consists of a certificate and prize money of 1,500 euros.

The Georg Simon Ohm Prize is one of the prizes awarded by the German Physical Society . The award-winning work covers a broad spectrum of research, from environmental technology to astronomy and ultra-short-term physics to plasma physics and medical technology. In addition to the work at one's own university, non-university research institutions are often included in the award-winning projects. The establishment and statutes of the award were decided by the board of directors of the DPG. This elects the members of the award committee, which draws up a list of suggestions. The decision to award the prize is incumbent on the DPG board. Other DPG prizes include the Gustav Hertz Prize , the Hertha Sponer Prize , Max Born Prize , Gentner Kastler Prize and the Walter Schottky Prize .
