Georg Achleitner

Georg Achleitner (born February 18, 1806 in Lessigen near Frankenburg am Hausruck , † May 31, 1883 in Linz ) was an Austrian lawyer and politician .

Life

Achleitner was the son of a miller and was raised Catholic. In 1825 he went to Vienna to study law . In 1831 he went back to his homeland and started his career as a judge: from 1831 to 1834 he was a legal trainee at the nursing court in Strobl, from 1834 to 1835 court clerk at the patrimonial court in Frankenburg and Engelszell , from 1835 to 1849 lawyer in Ried im Innkreis , from 1850 to 1854 state court assessor in Linz, 1854 to 1856 district chairman in Frankenmarkt , 1856 to 1863 district judge and district judge in Wels , 1863 to 1875 district judge and 1875 to 1876 higher regional judge in Linz.

Political career

From May 18, 1848 to April 13, 1849 Achleitner came to the Frankfurt National Assembly for the constituency of Austria ob der Enns and Salzburg ( Ried im Innkreis ) . Here he joined the Westendhall parliamentary group and spoke out against the election of Friedrich Wilhelm IV as Emperor of the Germans. Achleitner then sat in other parliaments: 1848 to 1849 Upper Austrian Provincial Estates (member of the Provisional Provincial Committee), 1849 to 1861 United Provincial College of Upper Austria and 1864 to 1867 Upper Austrian Landtag .
