Georg Aff, called the old man (* unknown; † April 6, 1574 ) was mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn from 1572 to 1574 .

Life

Aff held several important offices in Heilbronn between 1552 and 1574 . From 1552 he belonged to the court and from 1553 to the powerful little patrician council. Around 1570 he was tax master and from 1572 to 1574 mayor of the city. His brother Balthasar Aff followed him in this position . His great niece was the wife of David Kollenberger , who was also mayor of the imperial city of Heilbronn from 1607 to 1628.

Only the name Margherete has been passed down from Georgs Aff's wife, their son was granted a scholarship to study at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg in 1565 .

The Aff family immigrated to Heilbronn in the middle of the 15th century and came from the Wetterau . It is documented in Heilbronn until 1812. In Heilbronn she belonged to the patriciate ; In addition to Heilbronn, council memberships are also available for Weinsberg and Wimpfen .
