Georg Agricola commemorative coin

The Georg Agricola memorial coin is a silver commemorative coin donated by the Society of German Metalworking and Miners in 1924, which is awarded in memory of the founder of modern mineralogy and mining, Georgius Agricola . It is awarded for outstanding achievements in the fields of metallurgy or mining. The winners are appointed by a joint decision of the Presidium and Advisory Board of the GDMB.

Award winners

The prize was awarded irregularly from 1924 onwards and annually from 2004 onwards.
