Georg Anastasiadis (born May 17, 1965 in Munich ) is a German newspaper journalist and editor-in-chief of Münchner Merkur .

Life

Anastasiadis is an economist.

After several years in various positions at Münchner Merkur, most recently as deputy and acting editor-in-chief, Anastasiadis was appointed editor-in-chief on July 11, 2016 by the publisher Dirk Ippen at the age of 51 .

He succeeded Bettina Bäumlisberger , who was supposed to return her post to her predecessor Karl Schermann after almost two years . However, Schermann canceled for health reasons.
