Georg Berresheim (born May 1, 1923 , † December 31, 1987 ) was a German fast night in Mainz .

Georg Berresheim was born in Mainz as the son of the married couple Heinrich and Anna Berresheim. After completing his commercial training, he worked as a buyer for medical equipment at the Mainz University Hospital . In 1947 he married Marianne Hessenthaler with whom he had two daughters, Brigitte and Karin.

Georg Berresheim began his carnival career in 1946 and joined the Mainz Carneval Association in 1947 . He had his first appearances as a single speaker, actor in the opening plays of the Mainz Saalfastnacht. He also worked as a songwriter. As early as 1948, together with his future partner Otto Dürr, he had the idea of ​​appearing together as a cleaning duo who glossed over topics of daily life in dialogue form. Both performed together for over 30 years, mainly from 1952 to 1982, as the cleaning ladies' duo Fraa Babbisch and Fraa Struwwelich . Berresheim mimed the more elegant Fraa Struwwelich . As Fraa Struwwelich , Berresheim also appeared in the television program Mainz, Mainz remains as it sings and laughs .

Berresheim and Dürr were so successful with their portrayal of the two cleaning women that they also performed outside of the carnival season. This also included appearances in television programs such as Der goldene Schuss , Dalli Dalli , Zum Blauen Bock or in the sports studio .
