Georg Burckhardt (politician)
Georg Burckhardt (born December 24, 1848 in Schermbeck , † 1927 in Godesberg ) was party secretary, pharmacist and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Burckhardt attended the grammar school in Burgsteinfurt , the secondary school in Lippstadt and the universities of Bonn and Heidelberg , where he received his doctorate in natural science. From 1866 to 1898 he was a pharmacist, then Christian Social Party Secretary until 1910 and a writer. He was also the chief pharmacist of the Landwehr. Between 1916 and 1918 he was "with the support" of Wilhelm Wallbaum (1876-1933) also chairman of the Christian Social Party .
From 1903 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency administrative district Wiesbaden 5 Dillkreis , Oberwesterwald and the Christian-Social Party.
