Franz Cucumus

Franz Cucumus (born July 28, 1824 in Würzburg , † August 9, 1881 in Leipzig ) was a German judge .

Life

Cucumus studied in Munich and Heidelberg. At the beginning of 1845, as a student in Heidelberg, he belonged to the more moderate association “Schloßbund”. In 1846 he was sworn in to the Bavarian sovereign. He was initially a defense lawyer in Bavaria. In 1849 he was one of the two defense lawyers in the first public court hearing in criminal matters in Bavaria on the right of the Rhine. From 1853 he was an assessor at the city court in Munich. In 1857 he was a district judge in Munich. In 1864 he was a commercial judge. In 1867, Cucumus became a councilor at the Commercial Court of Appeal. In 1876 he was a public prosecutor at the Bavarian Supreme Court . In 1879 he entered the 1st criminal division of the Imperial Court . He died as a result of a fall.

His father was the legal scholar Konrad von Cucumus (1792–1861).
