Georg Carl Gottlieb Sattler

Georg Carl Gottlieb Sattler (also Georg Carl Theophilius Sattler , born May 17, 1818 in Schweinfurt ; † September 9, 1885 there ) was a German chemist and entrepreneur.

Life

Georg Carl Gottlieb Sattler was a son of the manufacturer Wilhelm Sattler .

Together with his brothers Johann Jens Caspar Sattler and Wilhelm Sattler (1813–92), he took over their father's company in Schweinfurt, although the company conglomerate disintegrated soon after the takeover. Like his brothers, he was involved in religious reform movements.

On January 7, 1855 he was registered in the Chemistry Section under matriculation no. Elected member of the Leopoldina in 1726 with the academic surname Göttling .

Sattler was married to Franziska Adolphine Wilhelmine Friederike Schwarzenberg (1824–1895).
