Johann Jens Caspar Sattler
Johann Jens Caspar Sattler (also Johann Jens Kaspar Sattler , born August 27, 1810 in Schweinfurt ; † January 19, 1880 ibid ) was a German chemist and entrepreneur .
Life
Johann Jens Caspar Sattler was a son of the manufacturer Wilhelm Sattler .
Together with his brothers Georg Carl Gottlieb Sattler and Wilhelm Sattler (1813-1892), he took over their father's company in Schweinfurt, although the company conglomerate disintegrated soon after the takeover. Like his brothers, he was involved in religious reform movements and at times chairman of the Free Christian Congregation in Schweinfurt. For many years he was a committee member of the Germanic National Museum in Nuremberg.
On January 1, 1856 he was given the academic surname van Helmont III. Elected member (matriculation number 1758) of the Leopoldina in the chemistry section .
Sattler was married to Susanne Henriette Amalie Stolle (1816–1900) since 1836 .
