Georg Drah

Georg Drah (actually Drahonicz, born December 2, 1867 in Vienna , † June 3, 1922 there ) was an Austrian painter, fresco artist and watercolorist .

Drah studied at the Karlsruhe School of Applied Arts and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as a visiting student with Siegmund L'Allemand .

Georg Drah worked as a freelance artist in Vienna and mainly dealt with landscape painting, also creating frescoes. He had been a member of the Dürerbund since 1896 and took part in its art exhibitions from 1914 to 1921. Georg Drah's works include a. in the collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Belvedere Gallery .
