Georg Fitz

Georg Ludwig Fitz (born July 9, 1860 in Ellerstadt ; † April 11, 1940 in Mittenwald ) was a landowner, wine merchant and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Fitz attended secondary school in Neustadt , the technical university in Stuttgart and the universities of Munich , Bonn and Berlin . He was a member of the Corps Franconia in Munich and the Corps Hansea in Bonn . From 1882 he was the landowner on his father's estate in Ellerstadt and from 1890 a partner in the Fitz und Baust company (wine and sparkling wine shop).

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Pfalz 5 ( Homburg , Kusel ) and the National Liberal Party .

There is a Georg-Fitz-Straße in Ellerstadt.
