Georg Friedrich Bihl

Georg Friedrich Bihl , also Georg F. Bihl , (born August 13, 1847 in Waiblingen , † June 26, 1935 in Stuttgart ) was a German architect . From the end of the 1880s to the 1930s he was part of the Bihl & Woltz architects' firm in Stuttgart.

Georg Friedrich Bihl worked as an architect mainly in Stuttgart and all over Württemberg . He was later awarded the honorary title of building officer .

In 1891, together with the architect Alfred Woltz, he founded the architecture firm Bihl & Woltz in Stuttgart, which was active until the 1930s.

Georg Friedrich Bihl died in 1935, the same year as his partner Woltz. Bihl was buried in the Heslacher Friedhof in the south of Stuttgart .

Awards and honors

In 1935, after Bihl's death, Bihlplatz was named after him in his honor . It is located in the center of the Stuttgart district of Heslach .
