Georg Gaugusch (* 1974 in Vienna ) is an Austrian chemist , managing director of the clothing maker and manufactured goods dealer Wilhelm Jungmann & Neffe in Vienna, and is particularly known as a historian and specialist in Jewish genealogy .

Life

One of the ancestors of Gaugusch's maternal line is his great-grandfather Walter Suchy, who in 1942 took over the Jungmann & Neffe fabric business, which came to Georg Gaugusch through his daughter and granddaughter.

Gaugusch initially studied technical chemistry at the Vienna University of Technology and he is involved a. a. in the genealogical society Adler, of which he has been a member since 1992. He has presented the first half of his extensive and very detailed studies of the Jewish upper class.

Gaugusch is married to the historian Marie-Theres Arnbom .
