Georg Gollwitzer

Georg Gollwitzer (born June 2, 1877 in Kaiserslautern or January 17, 1874 in Augsburg , † February 4, 1941 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) was a German politician ( DVP ).

Life

Gollwitzer was the son of the royal postal administrator Georg Adam Gollwitzer from Weiden in the Upper Palatinate and his wife Veronika, née Ott, from Kipfenberg . The family had been based in Ludwigshafen am Rhein since 1887 at the latest. Gollwitzer himself also became a post office worker, initially a post expeditor and later a post secretary. In 1929 he became a post office worker. From 1920 to 1928 Gollwitzer was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament for the German People's Party , where he represented various constituencies in the Palatinate .
