Georg Grabner on Joslowitz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Georg Grabner auf Joslowitz , also Jörg Grabner (* in the 15th century ; † 1487 ) was an Austrian nobleman and, among other things, Lord von Schlickendorf , Zagging , Rechberg and Puechberg ( Buchberg am Kamp ) in Lower Austria and from Joslowitz in Moravia.

Georg Grabner was a son of Jacob Grabner the Younger (named in 1410 as Herr von Rechberg ) from the Second Lower Austrian line of Grabner of the Herr von Graben family . His siblings were Johann Grabner , Margareta Grabner († 1499) and Andreas Grabner († 1449). Grabner's first marriage in 1450 was Gertraud Kelberharter, a daughter of Erhardt Kelberharter zu Kälberharts and Beatrix Rizendorfer, and had two sons with Jakob and Christoph Grabner zu Rosenburg , the later owners of the Rosenburg . His daughter Margareta Grabner († 1499) first married Jakob the Younger from Tierna and in 1492 she married Reinprecht Sinzendorfer on Achleiten, Feyregg and Friedau († 1533).

Georg Grabner was married to Margaretha von Rosenhart in his second marriage . This had two sons from their first marriage, Georg and Hans von Rosenhart, in favor of which he renounced the rule and Veste Puechberg in 1473. His brother Johann Grabner pledged the villages of Prunreichs ( Preinreichs  ?) Eisenberg (eramt, municipality of Jaidhof ) and Grubern ( Grübern  ?) Together with the wine and grain tithes to Mittelberg as pledge to them in 1481 .

It is unclear whether this Georg Grabner is the one who was also married to a Barbara Kressling in 1462.

In 1439 Georg Grabner was in the mourning suite of the late Emperor Albrecht II , and led the mourning horse of the Kingdom of Hungary together with Wolf Beldendorfer . In 1449 he received the Rechberg Fortress from his brother Johann . Between 1450 and 1487 he appears as lord of Joslowitz , Guesst and Zagging (also Zäcking, Zacking), although according to other sources Zagging did not come into the possession of the Grabner until 1491 through his sons. It had come into the possession of Joslowitz before 1471, because in that year it was compared to Stephan Freiherr von Eyczing and his oath Hanns Schus regarding the sale to him .
