Jaidhof is a municipality with 1212 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Krems-Land district in Lower Austria .
geography
Jaidhof is located on the plateau of the Waldviertel northwest of Gföhl in Lower Austria. The area of the municipality covers 44.93 square kilometers. 45.16 percent of the area is forested.
Community structure
The municipality includes the following five localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):
- Eisenbergeramt (256) including dirt
- Eisengraben (256)
- Eisengraberamt (226) including Gschwendt and Strasser
- Jaidhof (384) including Drescherhütten and Unter-Jaidhof
- Schiltingeramt (90)
The community consists of the cadastral communities Eisenbergeramt, Eisengraben , Eisengraberamt, Jaidhof and Schiltingeramt .

Population development

The mayor of the community is Franz Aschauer, the head of the district is Franz Reiter.
In the municipal council there are 19 seats in total after the municipal council election on January 26, 2020, the following distribution of mandates: List ÖVP 15, SPÖ 4, others no seats.
Economy and Infrastructure
In 2001 there were 20 non-agricultural workplaces, and according to the 1999 survey there were 130 in agriculture and forestry. The number of people in work at home was 503 according to the 2001 census. In 2001 the employment rate was 45.93 percent.

The municipality of Jaidhof is a member of the Kampseen region .
Culture and sights
The Austrian headquarters of the Society of St. Pius X are located in Jaidhof Palace .
Jaidhof or Eisenbergeramt is the setting for a large part of Götz Spielmann's film Revanche .

Jaidhof has developed into a snowkite center in the east of Austria in recent years .
