Kampseen region

The Kampseen small region is the voluntary cooperation of seven municipalities in the Krems-Land and Zwettl districts in Lower Austria in the areas of services of general interest, citizen service and spatial development. Small regions in Lower Austria are funded by the Lower Austrian provincial government as an instrument of rural development and spatial planning.

Member municipalities

The following municipalities are members of the Kampseen region:

The small region Kampseen, founded in 1994, is supported by the regional association Kampseen , whose board is made up of the mayors and local councils from the member communities. The small region operates a project office in Neupölla in which a small region manager works.

Projects

The main tasks of the small region are the expansion and marketing of the Kamptalstauseen recreational area with the Dobra , Ottenstein and Thurnberg reservoirs , cooperation on communal tasks and education, as well as environmental protection and sustainable forms of energy. In the cultural field, cooperation between museums in the small region is promoted. An announcement publication for the residents of the small region appears three times a year with the regional newspaper.
