Kamp-Taffatal small region
The small region Kamp-Taffatal is the voluntary cooperation of five communities in the southern Horn district in Lower Austria in the areas of services of general interest, citizen service and spatial development. Small regions in Lower Austria are funded by the Lower Austrian provincial government as an instrument of rural development and spatial planning.
Member municipalities
The following communities are members of the Kamp-Taffatal region:
- Community Altenburg
- Market town of Gars am Kamp
- Municipality of Horn
- Community Röhrenbach
- Community Rosenburg-Mold
The small region of Kamp-Taffatal is supported by an association whose board is made up of the mayors and city and community councils from the member communities. The small region operates a project office in Horn , in which a small region manager works.
Projects
The small region of Kamp-Taffatal is primarily dedicated to cultural and tourism projects. The Discover Treasures project offers schools handouts for school excursions and project days that encourage them to get to know nature and the history of the small region. Every spring since 2008 a small region festival has been held in changing locations in the small region. The audio dictionary project aims to help improve communication with neighboring regions in the Czech Republic, which borders the Horn region .
