Georg Grozer senior (born September 14, 1964 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian and German national volleyball player .

Georg Grozer started his volleyball career in his home country Hungary. He played in the Hungarian first division for Tungsram Budapest and completed 96 international matches for the Hungarian national team . In 1985 he left his homeland for Germany and initially played for MTV Celle . In 1986 he moved to Belgium to Rembert Saxon Torhout , where he won the Belgian Cup in 1988. From 1988 to 1996 he played again very successfully in Germany for Moerser SC . Here he was CEV Cup winner in 1990 , German champion in 1992 and German cup winner in 1991 and 1993 . In the rankings of German volleyball he achieved top positions in the categories “serve” and “attack” for many years. In 1992 "Hammer-Schorsch" was voted volleyball player of the year . In the German national team things didn't go so well for the often headstrong Georg Grozer: Due to differences with the national coach, he only made 19 appearances here.

Grozer was also the coach of Moerser SC from 2006 to 2008 . In the 2011/12 season he coached the second division A! B! C Titans Berg. Country . He is married to Timea, with whom he has four children: Georg , Tom, Dora and Tim , who all play volleyball very successfully.
