Georg Hamberger (* 1537 in Dinkelsbühl ; † July 23, 1599 in Tübingen ) was a German doctor, professor and multiple rector at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Georg Hamberger received his doctorate as Dr. med. and from 1568 to 1599 was a full professor of medicine at the University of Tübingen. He was a son-in-law of Urban Vedtscher , the Konstanz keeper in Esslingen. He became a doctor in Rothenburg ob der Tauber . He was also superintendent of the Fickler Scholarship. In 1575/76, 1580, 1584/85, 1587/88, 1590/91, 1593/94 and 1598/99 he was rector of the University of Tübingen. His portrait hangs in the professors' gallery in Tübingen .
