Career

In the summer of 1976 he moved to SV Arminia Hannover and stood for the first time for the first team on October 23 between the posts. The game of the 2nd Bundesliga North at FC St. Pauli was lost 4-1. From then on he guarded the gate in several games until the winter break. Only a few of the games could be won. This season he was in the box a few times at the end of the second half of the season. In the 1977/78 season he was then 33 times out of 38 game days in goal and finished with his team in 15th place in the table. In the next season it was only used sporadically after the 4th game day and more towards the end of the season. The next season should be better again, but in the end he and his team were relegated this season. His very last game for Arminia was supposed to be the historic 11-0 defeat at Arminia Bielefeld .

After this season he left Hanover and moved to Germania Walsrode .
