Georg Krug (politician, 1906)

Georg Krug (born August 6, 1906 in Altusried ; † December 2, 1989 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( CSU ). Krug had been the mayor of Altusried since 1948.

Life

Krug, who was a Roman Catholic , ran a farm with his wife Rosina (née Pinzger) and their eight daughters in his birthplace Altusried. He was involved in commercial policy bodies in the Allgäu . Krug belonged to the district council in the district of Kempten (Allgäu) , where he was chairman of the CSU parliamentary group. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1957 to 1972 . He represented the constituency of Kempten there .
