Georg Lanzenstiel

Georg Lanzenstiel (born May 2, 1909 in Augsburg-Oberhausen , † June 7, 1983 in Van / Turkey ) was a German Evangelical Lutheran clergyman.

Lanzenstiel graduated from the Realgymnasium Augsburg in 1928 and then studied theology in Erlangen , Berlin and Bonn . During his studies he was involved in the youth movement-reformed association Nothung . From 1936 to 1954 he was pastor in Nördlingen . In 1937 he married Luise Bald in Munich, whom he had met there during his time as vicar at St. Lukas. In 1954 he came to Munich as a student pastor and was dean there from 1964. From 1971 to 1977 he was senior church councilor and district dean of Munich and Upper Bavaria .

From the marriage with Luise Lanzenstiel, b. Soon they had six children. Georg Lanzenstiel was the father-in-law of Kurt Tetzeli von Rosador .

He was a member of the college of the church leadership of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria and a member of the Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany . From January 1, 1978 until his death he was a member of the Bavarian Senate .

In his honor is a house of the Protestant student dormitory Munich e. V. (ESWM) and the Lanzenstielweg in Munich-Neuperlach.
