Georg Ludwig Alefeld (born November 1, 1732 in Gießen ; † November 20, 1774 there ) was a German medic and physicist.

Life

The son of Johann Ludwig Alefeld (1695–1760) studied medicine at the University of Giessen and the University of Strasbourg from 1748 to 1756 . In Gießen he received his doctorate and doctorate in medicine on October 7, 1756 . On November 11th, he became a private lecturer in Giessen, took on an extraordinary professorship at the medical faculty in 1760 , acquired a master's degree in philosophy on December 29th, 1761 , became a full professor of medicine on May 26th, 1762 and also a professor from July 15th, 1762 to 1766 of physics. In 1765 he became a member of the Kur-Maizer Academy of Sciences in Erfurt .
