Georg Mohr (philosopher)

Georg Mohr (born June 24, 1956 in Aachen ) is a German professor of philosophy.

Life

From 1976 to 1982 he studied philosophy, Protestant theology and educational sciences at the University of Bonn (1982 Magister Artium in Bonn ). From 1982 to 1984 he completed a doctoral degree at the Universities of Geneva and Neuchâtel NE (1984–1985 Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences ). From 1985 to 1989 he was an assistant licencié at the Séminaire de philosophie (Chaire de philosophie générale Gerhard Seel ) at the Université de Neuchâtel . After obtaining his doctorate in philosophy in 1989 as a Docteur ès lettres in Neuchâtel; Subject of the work: The sensual self. Inner sense and consciousness in Kant . From 1989 to 1995 he was a research assistant at the Philosophical Seminar (chair Ludwig Siep ) at the University of Münster . After his habilitation in philosophy in Münster in 1994 with a commentary on Kant's theoretical philosophy; Habilitation lecture: Criminal law without metaphysics? From 1995 to 1997 he was visiting professor of philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty IV of the Humboldt University in Berlin to justify the legitimation of state penalties . Since July 1998 he has been a university professor (C 4) for philosophy (focus on practical philosophy) at the University of Bremen .
