Georg Niehenck (church historian)
Georg Vitus Heinrich Niehenck (born December 14, 1714 in Rostock ; † March 8, 1795 ) was a German church historian .
Life
Georg Niehenck was born in Rostock as the son of a businessman and grandson of the theologian Georg Niehenck of the same name and studied at the University of Rostock from October 1732 . Then he was both domestic as well as private tutor . In 1747 Niehenck received his master's degree .
From 1752 he worked as a preacher and deacon of the Rostock Nikolaikirche .
He published a number of articles, especially on topics related to the history of the Rostock church.
