Georg Reif (born April 6, 1881 in Nuremberg , † March 9, 1932 in Munich ) was a German banking lawyer.

Life

Georg Reif came as the son of the brewery owner Peter Reif and his wife Elise geb. Whimsical to the world. When his father died in 1896, he moved to Nuremberg with his mother. After he had passed the Abitur examination at the Aegidianum in 1899 , he began to study law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen . In 1900 he was in the Corps Baruthia recipiert . He moved to the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1904 he was chairman of the Kösener Congress of the Kösener Seniors Convents Association . After graduation, he was in 1906 in Erlangen, Dr. iur. PhD. He entered the Bavarian civil service and in 1910 was an accessist at the Royal Bank Directorate in Nuremberg. In the following years he was promoted to the senior government council. He was appointed to the board of directors of the Bayerische Staatsbank in Munich, of which he was a member until his death. Reif was a member of the supervisory board of the brush factory. Emil Kränzlein AG in Erlangen and the Kur- und Schloßhotel AG in Hohenschwangau . He died at the Munich University Hospital when he was not yet 51. After the cremation , his ashes were buried in the old town cemetery (Erlangen) .
