Georg Scherer (politician)

Balthasar Georg Adam Scherer (born March 30, 1865 in Offenbach am Main ; † May 2, 1920 ibid) was a Hessian politician ( Center Party Hesse ) and a former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Family and work

Georg Scherer was the son of the brass caster Georg Scherer and his wife Katharina nee Gräumann. He was married to Katharina nee Diehl.

Georg Scherer was a shaper. In 1901 he became - as an unskilled worker - chairman of the Catholic workers 'association in Offenbach and later district manager of the Christian metal workers' association.

Georg Scherer, who was a Catholic denomination, belonged to the Hessian state parliament from 1919 to 1921 in its first electoral term. In the state parliament he was secretary. After his death , August Nuss replaced him in the state parliament.
