Georg Schmolz
Georg Schmolz (* 1959 in Munich ) is a German journalist .
Life
Schmolz studied economics and philosophy at the University of Innsbruck and in Anápolis , Brazil. He then completed a journalism training course in Brussels . He subsequently worked for broadcasters such as Antenne 2, Bayerischer Rundfunk and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk . As a lecturer he taught a. a. at the Institute for the Promotion of Young Journalists .
From 1998 to 2000 he was editor-in-chief of arte . He was also the Czech correspondent for MDR and head of the ARD studio in Prague . From 2009 he headed the newly founded investigative MDR research editorial team. Schmolz heads the barrier-free offers department of the MDR.
