Georg Schneider (Nazi functionary)

Georg Schneider (born June 17, 1889 in Bamberg , † after 1945) was a German political functionary ( NSDAP ). Among other things, he was head of the joint academic institute for physical exercise at the University of Munich and the Technical University of Munich .

Live and act

After attending school, Schneider worked as a gymnastics and sports teacher. In the Bavarian Army he received the rank of Vice Sergeant in the Reserve in 1913 . During the First World War he was promoted to lieutenant in 1915 . In 1919 he left the army. He then worked as a gymnastics and sports teacher in Speyer , Traunstein and Nuremberg .

Politically, Schneider began to get involved in circles of the extreme political right in the early 1920s. In 1922 he joined the NSDAP for the first time. In 1923 he joined the SA , where he led the SA in the Traunstein district until 1923 . In 1923 he took part in the Hitler putsch in Munich .

On the occasion of the re-establishment of the NSDAP in 1925, Schneider joined it again, as did the SA. In 1931 he received a position as a teacher at the Realgymnasium in Nuremberg . In the SA he was promoted to Sturmbannführer in 1932 and entrusted with the management of the independent SA Storm 24.

In 1933 Schneider was appointed professor at the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich. In the same year (?)
