Georg Schröder (journalist)

Georg Schröder (* 1905 ; † 1987 ) was a German journalist.

During the Weimar Republic , Schröder worked on the magazine Das Gewissen published by Heinrich von Gleichen and on the Stahlhelm newspaper Die Standarte .

From 1936 to 1945 Schröder was editor, later deputy editor-in-chief of the news agency Transocean and Transocean Europe.

From 1948 to 1950 Schröder was editor-in-chief of the Norddeutsche Zeitung . He then headed the world’s office in Hanover , before he was head of the newspaper’s Bonn office from 1953 to 1973 .
