Georg Teschner (born July 15, 1888 in Eckersberg , † December 23, 1978 in Bruck an der Mur ) was a German officer, most recently Major General of the Air Force in World War II .

After his education in the cadet corps on March 19, 1908, Teschner was transferred as a lieutenant to the grenadier regiment "King Friedrich the Great" (3rd East Prussian) No. 4 of the Prussian Army . With this regiment he took part in the First World War, during which he was promoted to captain on September 16, 1917 . After the end of the war, Teschner briefly worked for a volunteer corps before retiring from military service. In September 1919 he joined the Königsberg police force .

During the Second World War, Teschner was major general from November 1, 1940, and from September 20, 1943, commanded the 1st Air Defense Brigade . This was stationed near Ploesti in Romania and had the task of protecting the oil production facilities there, which are important for the German warfare, against local air attacks . On September 5, 1944, Teschner was taken prisoner by the Soviets .
