Georg Zaum

Georg Zaum (born May 26, 1946 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German insurance manager.

Life

Georg Zaum studied at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg and the University of Cologne . Until 2012 he was CEO of the Mecklenburg Insurance Group in Hanover . He then took over the chairmanship of the supervisory boards.

Zaum is involved in numerous voluntary positions, for example as a member of the advisory board of the Hanover University of Music and Theater , for the Neubrandenburg art collection and in the Association for the Promotion of Insurance Science at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover . He is also the spokesman for the Hanoverian insurance industry and the spokesman for the CEOs of the Hanoverian insurance companies. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Bankhaus Hallbaum and chairman of the CoE (Club without a sense of gainful employment).

Zaum is a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Ripuaria Freiburg im Breisgau and from 1977 also the KDSt.V. Rappoltstein (Strasbourg) Cologne , both in the CV and member of the Lions Club Hannover.
