Georg von Pappenheim (1430–1485)

Georg von Pappenheim (* 1430 in Pappenheim ; † 1485 in Treuchtlingen ) was the founder of the Treuchtlingen line of those of Pappenheim .

Life

Georg I von Pappenheim was the sixth son of Haupt II von Pappenheim and his wife Barbara von Rechberg . He was married to Ursula von Waldburg . In 1457 and 1460 he was a nurse in Weißenberg and in 1470 a nurse in Kelheim . In 1480, Duke Albrecht of Bavaria awarded him Schloss Eggersberg for 1700 guilders for life. Georg von Pappenheim led the senior council after the death of his half-brother Heinrich from 1482. Georg von Pappenheim died in 1485.
