Haupt II. Von Pappenheim (* 1380 , † 1438 ) was first vice marshal, later imperial hereditary marshal and diplomat under Emperor Sigismund .

Life

Haupt II. Von Pappenheim was the son of Haupt I. von Pappenheim († 1409) and his wife Agnes von Weinsberg († 1405). Haupt II. Was married to Corona von Rothenstein († 1412/14/19) (a sister of Ludwig von Rothenstein ). Through this marriage, the rule of Grönenbach passed from von Rothenstein to von Pappenheim . However, it was not only owned by the Grönenbach rulership, but also by Rothenstein and Kalden Castle . After Corana von Rothenstein's early death, he married Barbara von Rechberg a second time .

Haupt II. Participated in the Council of Constance from 1414 to 1418 as a royal confidante under King Sigismund . Over the years he was able to expand his possessions significantly. In 1422 he acquired the castle in Schweinspoint , in 1423 also the town of Schweinspoint, goods in Meinheim , Wolfsbronn and Weimersheim , in 1430 the land and town bailiwick of Augsburg , in 1436 the Spielberg castle and in 1438 the rule over Graefenthal .
