Brock Sheahan (born May 6, 1984 in Lethbridge , Alberta ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player . Since 2013 he has been the assistant coach of the team at the University of Notre Dame , which compete in the NCAA .

Career

As a player

Sheahan began his career with the Crowsnest Pass Timberwolves in the Alberta Junior Hockey League , scoring 28 points in 48 games. After only a year in Crowsnest Pass , he moved to the University of Notre Dame and its ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . In the jersey of the University of Notre Dame he was on the ice for four years before he moved to the ECHL for the Wheeling Nailers for the 2008/09 season.

But after only one season in which he scored 17 points in 79 games, he moved to league rivals Cincinnati Cyclones , with whom he won the Kelly Cup in the 2009/10 season . In the same season he came to the farm team of the Minnesota Wild , the Houston Eros in the American Hockey League to a use. This was followed by a change to the Cincinnati Cyclones. He stayed there for two years and was also appointed assistant captain in his second season before it became known that he would move to SC Riessersee in the 2nd Bundesliga in August 2011 . The following season Sheahan played for the Ontario Reign in the ECHL . This should be his last season as an active player.
