George of Pestel
Georg von Pestel-Dreppenstedt (born January 6, 1783 in Hamm ; † December 12, 1846 there ) was a German administrative officer.
Life
Georg von Pestel studied law at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen . In 1802 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Erlangen. After completing his studies, he entered the civil service and became a district administrator and councilor in Westphalia. Most recently he lived in Osnabrück .
Pestel was married to Sabine Melusine Wilhelmine Magdalene Christiane Countess of Hardenberg (1781-1850). The Prussian Lieutenant General Eduard von Pestel was her son.
