George Konell Prize

The George Konell Prize of the State Capital Wiesbaden is awarded every two years in memory of George Konell , who lived and worked in Wiesbaden for several years , for a complete literary work or a first literary publication by an author. The artists must have their permanent residence in Hesse . The prize is endowed with prize money of 5,000 euros. The winners are selected by a jury, each of which is used for two award ceremonies.

In addition, every two years the George Konell Prize is awarded to a student for a prose text. A work is expected that shows a confident, sensitive and creative use of the German language. There are no content requirements. A jury decides on the award ceremony.
