George Acquaah
George Wilson Acquaah (born October 3, 1925 , † December 18, 1963 in Accra ) was a Ghanaian athlete .
In 1952, Acquaah was one of seven athletes for the Gold Coast at the Summer Olympics in the Finnish capital Helsinki . In the seventh heat of the 100-meter competition , the 26-year-old was eliminated in fifth with a time of 11.1 seconds; In the second run of the 4 x 100 meter relay competition , the team of the Gold Coast with Acquaah as second runner and with Gabriel Laryea , John Owusu and Augustus Lawson reached the goal after a time of 42.1 seconds, which was again the end in round one meant.
