Gabriel Laryea

Gabriel Sowah Laryea (born January 29, 1924 - June 23, 2009 ) was a Ghanaian athlete .

In 1952 Laryea competed as one of seven athletes for the Gold Coast at the Summer Olympics in the Finnish capital Helsinki . In the first run of the 100-meter competition , the 28-year-old was eliminated in third with a time of 11.1 seconds; In the second run of the 4 x 100 meter relay competition , the Gold Coast team with Laryea as the starting runner and with George Acquaah , John Owusu and Augustus Lawson reached the finish line in fourth after a time of 42.1 seconds, which again ended in Round one meant.
