George Ewart Evans

George Ewart Evans (born April 1, 1909 in Abercynon , ( Glamorganshire ), † January 11, 1988 ) was a Welsh writer.

Life

He studied Classical Philology at University College in Cardiff . From 1931 he worked as a teacher, from 1948 Evans worked as a freelance writer. He then moved to England . His son Matthew Evans, Baron Evans of Temple Guiting (1941-2016) was a Labor Party politician .

George Ewart Evans has written novels, books for young people, folklore, short stories and an autobiography .
