George Frederick Leycester Marshall

George Frederick Leycester Marshall (March 27, 1843 - March 7, 1934 ) was a British colonel in the Indian Army and a zoologist .

His main focus was on the field of ornithology as well as the observation and discovery of Indian butterfly species. Numerous new species were categorically recorded and described by him in collaboration with Lionel de Nicéville .
