George Mamalassery
George Mamalassery (born April 22, 1932 in Kalathoor ) is the former bishop of Tura .
Life
George Mamalassery was ordained a priest on April 23, 1960 . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tura on January 12, 1979 .
The Archbishop of Shillong-Gauhati , Hubert D'Rosario SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on March 19 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Orestes Marengo SDB, Apostolic Administrator of Tura, and Joseph Mittathany , Bishop of Tezpur .
On April 21, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
