The Diocese of Tura ( lat. : Dioecesis Turana ) is in India situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Tura .

history

The Diocese of Tura was on March 1, 1973 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Romani Pontifices from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Shillong-Guwahati and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On March 30, 1992, the Diocese of Tura gave parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Guwahati .
