George Ney de Souza Fernandes
George Ney de Souza Fernandes (born June 28, 1950 in Niterói ) is a Brazilian diplomat .
Life
George Ney de Souza Fernandes is the son of Stella de Souza Fernandes and Ney Francisco Queiroz. He entered the foreign service and was deployed in Guatemala (1979–1982), Montevideo (1982–1985), Bucharest (1986–1992) and the Holy See (1991–1994). He then served as counselor in Santiago de Chile until 1998 and in Havana until 2000 .
Finally, Fernandes in 2002, as charge d'affaires in Harare appointed, where he was appointed from 2003 to 2006 and ambassador. He was also chargé d'affaires at the Holy See from 2006 to 2009 and as ambassador to Tripoli from 2009 to 2011 . Since February 14, 2011 he has been ambassador to Manila .
