The Brazilian Embassy resides on the ninth floor of the Old Mutual Tower , Harare .

Zimbabwe received an independent government on April 18, 1980, to which the Brazilian ambassador in Maputo , Marcel Dezon Costa Hasslocher, was accredited within one month .

An embassy in Harare was decreed by a law of August 4, 1987.

The Brazilian ambassador in Harare has also been regularly accredited to the government in Lilongwe ( Malawi ) since 2000 .
